Experience diving in the high elevation lakes or with the seals on the West coast without the worry of getting too cold.

During the course you will learn what a dry suit is and what they are made out of. You will also learn how
to control your buoyancy, emergency skills and how to take care of the dry suit. 

 

What you will learn:

  • The theory of diving dry, dry suit construction, and dry suit auxiliary equipment.

  • The planning, organization, and procedures of dry suit diving.

  • The problems, hazards, procedures, techniques, safety considerations for proper buoyancy control, ascent and descent training.

  • Routine, user-level, preventative maintenance and performance checks on dry suits.

Prerequisites:

Number of dives: 2.

Category 2 Specialty

($300 each or any 2 in Category 2 for $500)

One of the documents required for this course is the Medical Statement. Depending on your answers to the questionnaire a physician’s or other legally certified medical provider’s signature on the Medical Statement might be required prior to you getting in the water. It is important to read the form ahead of time so you have plenty of time to set an appointment if necessary. Click HERE to download the form.

You can learn how to tell if a physician’s or other legally certified medical provider’s signature is required by reading the form’s instructions or our FAQ. Don’t worry if you still are unsure whether a signature is required on your form or not, once you sign the course’s DocuSign Packet, we will contact you about it, if needed. Please remember that the Medical Statement’s 3rd page must be signed by a DO, MD, NP, or PA-C. A Doctor’s Note is NOT acceptable.
